McMaster To Resign As Trump's National Security Adviser; John Bolton To Take The Job

Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster is leaving the Trump administration, the president announced on Twitter Thursday evening. "I am very thankful for the service of General H.R. McMaster who has done an outstanding job & will always remain my friend," Trump wrote. The president also said former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton will become his national security adviser effective April 9.
