People With Intellectual Disabilities Face One Of The Highest Rates Of Sexual Assault In The U.S.
NPR obtained unpublished Justice Department data that show the scope of the crime against a largely silent population: People with intellectual disabilities are victims of sexual assaults at rates more than seven times those for people without disabilities.
