Roy Moore Wins Alabama GOP Senate Primary, A Blow To Trump And McConnell

President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell backed Sen. Luther Strange, who had been appointed to the seat formerly held by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. But Trump's anti-establishment allies, including Steve Bannon, championed former state supreme court chief justice Moore as a way to send a message to Washington elites.
