Pentagon: North Korea Appears To Have Launched Intercontinental Ballistic Missile

The missile, which was launched around 3:17 a.m. Wednesday local time, landed in the Sea of Japan and did not pose a threat to U.S. territories, the Defense Department said. If initial assessments hold up, then this would be the third ICBM test by North Korea this year.
