Breaking from the News to Say Thanks

We cover the news whenever, wherever - because of you.

News never stops. But today, we’re pausing for just a moment to say thank you. Our listener-supported journalism wouldn’t be possible without friends like you. So, thanks! Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing our stories, and thanks for supporting our work.

You give us plenty to be thankful for.

Because of you, this year, NPR and stations around the country were able to:

Share life-saving reports like Lost Mothers: Maternal Mortality in the U.S., which helped new moms and pregnant women recognize life-threatening conditions;

Hold public officials accountable with investigative reporting that uncovered budget cuts to the Veterans Choice healthcare program;

Report from the front lines of breaking news, covering the conditions in Texas and Puerto Rico, following Hurricanes Harvey and Maria; and

Launch new cultural programs and podcasts like Up First,  Rough Translation, Wow in the World and It’s Been a Minute with Sam Sanders – shows that educate, entertain, and offer our audiences new perspectives.

NPR can only continue to share these stories and produce the programs that inform our world with your help. You are truly an important part of what we do, and we are so grateful for your support.

Thank you for being a part of the NPR family.
