U.S. Adds Stronger-Than-Expected 312,000 Jobs; Unemployment Jumps To 3.9 Percent

The markets are a mess but companies are still hiring. The economy added 312,000 jobs in December — topping analysts' expectations of 180,000 jobs added. The jobless rate climbed to 3.9 percent.
