Now *this* is my kind of steak.

Recipe of the week
Steak night!
Steak for dinner is such a treat. There's just something so fancy about eating a relatively pricey cut of beef, especially when you serve it for yourself. And if the cost deters you, let me remind you that steak has a lot of health benefits going for it!
I know I didn't originally intend to talk about nutrition today, but beef's nutritional value can't be understated. I mean, just look at what it can offer your body:

Let's take a moment to address the elephant in the room (err, email): Steak also contains certain compounds that, when eaten in large amounts and frequently, can lead to conditions such as heart disease. But assuming steak is more of a "special occasion" meal and not something you're consuming every day for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, go for a meaty cut at the grocery store and enjoy cooking it however your taste buds prefer it done.
If I didn't sell you on buying a steak tonight — or if you eat a plant-based diet — at least let me convince you to make the cilantro-jalapeño sauce in the recipe. Spoon this sauce over any kind of protein or vegetable for an exciting tingly mouthfeel (from either the pleasant flavor or the mild heat from the pepper). Think cilantro (also known as coriander around the world) tastes like soap? Here are some alternatives you can substitute. And please know that I'm so sorry for your loss.
Whether you prepare this recipe or not, I hope you treat yourself to something great this week.

WHYSKO Meal Prep Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls Set
WHYSKO Meal Prep Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls Set
I'm such a bully. When my friends recently had me over to cook dinner, they gave me a serving bowl to place chopped herbs and vegetables in — to which I yelled at them to get this set. The entire set stacks neatly into the largest bowl, so you don't need to worry about individual bowls taking up valuable cabinet space. Plus, they're very durable. I drop them constantly, and the only thing that ever worries me is the mess I have to clean up — not the steel bowls shattering.
