It's pizza party time!
Usually when I make pizza dough from scratch, I also whip up my own red sauce. Everything tastes fresh and just feels more rewarding knowing that I made it. However, all of that effort — while worthwhile! — is exhausting. There are so many steps to producing a delicious-tasting tomato sauce, including roasting tomatoes, chopping up LOTS of garlic, and actually cooking it so that the flavors blend together.
That brings me to this cheese and asparagus pizza recipe from our friends at Wellos. There's no sauce — just layers of cheese (mozzarella and parmesan) and asparagus atop a premade whole grain pizza crust. You'll be eating a savory pie in about 10 minutes! If you want to go the *extra* mile, plop an egg in the center — after the pie has finished its first cook — and put it back into the oven until the egg whites have set.
Me, you ask? I'm absolutely going the distance!
