Trump Wins Opening Round In Legal Battle Over Consumer Watchdog Agency

A federal court has sided with the White House, saying it has the right to appoint a new head for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. An Obama-era appointee, elevated to director by the agency's outgoing head, argues that she has legal standing to continue running the agency.
